Ideal for players, coaches, parents and team managers, this Sports First Aid is designed to give you the theoretical knowledge (and a lot more) needed to accompany the Emergency First Aid at Work adapted for Sports 6 hour First Aid course and to equip you with vital skills and confidence to help an adult or child experiencing a medical emergency in a sports environment.

This course covers basic first aid and is aimed at people who need first aid who work in various sports sectors. It not only covers basic first aid but also all the specific problems that arise in sports. Primary and secondary subjects are covered, including soft tissue injuries, head injuries, types of cuts, and many illnesses that could arise.

The aim of the course is to equip students with the skills necessary for acute care of sports related injuries:

- Splinting
- Impact injuries
- Sprains & strains
- Fractures

After completing and passing the course successfully, you will be able to obtain an Accredited Certificate of Achievement.

Who is this Course for?

The recognition, assessment and immediate on-site management of sports injuries are crucial to facilitate rehabilitation and to minimise further risk of harm to the athlete. The Sports First Aid course designed for coaches, instructors, teachers, supervisors, sports assistants and volunteers; teaches the medical assessment and management of a wide variety of sports injuries.
